5. Public Display of Pilot Data

When conducting virtual flights and submitting flight reports, technical and flight-related data may be processed. This may include in particular:

  • Aircraft type and registration

  • Flight times, block time and flight status
  • Position, altitude, speed, heading and distance
  • Fuel consumption, passengers, cargo and weight data

This data is processed for the execution, evaluation and display of virtual flights. Some of this information may be visible on live map pages, PIREP pages, statistics pages or profile pages. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

After deletion of a user account, certain data may continue to be stored insofar as this is necessary for VA statistics, abuse prevention, system security or compliance with legal obligations. Where possible, data will be anonymized or reduced to the necessary minimum.
