Why AeroWorld Exists
From a shared passion for flight simming to a full virtual airline networkAeroWorld started because flying a single leg from A to B and filing a report felt like half the job. A real airline day is a duty with several legs, a cabin that has to be boarded, weights that have to add up and an airport you are expected to know before you get there. That is the part most virtual airlines leave out, and it is exactly the part we wanted.
So we built it ourselves. Our seat map, passenger manifest, loadsheet and airport briefings are not off-the-shelf add-ons - they were written for AeroWorld and they keep growing with every airport and every aircraft we add. Nothing here is reserved for veterans: a pilot on their first flight gets the same dispatch chain as everyone else.
We are a small airline and we are honest about it. That also means your feedback lands directly with the people who write the code, and new pilots genuinely shape what gets built next.

Register as a pilot, pick your home airport and you are on the roster. No application process, and you start with a balance for your first type ratings.
Book & Fly a Route
Pick a flight your ratings cover, pull the SimBrief OFP and your airport briefing, board your passengers and push back.
File Your PIREP & Progress
smartCARS 3 tracks the flight and files the report. Then take the next leg of your rotation.
Your Ratings, Your Fleet
You fly the aircraft you hold a rating for - and you buy ratings in the Pilot ShopWhat do I start with?
Every new pilot gets 6,000 in their balance - enough for your first two ratings.
How do I earn more?
Flights pay into your balance. Rank promotions and awards add a one-off bonus on top. Once you buy a rating, it is yours to keep.
Is there a limit at the start?
As a Junior Pilot you can hold up to 2 ratings from the entry pool (Airbus A319/A320, Boeing 737, ATR 72, Canadair Regional Jet, De Havilland Dash 8, Embraer E-Jets, Airbus A220). Promotion lifts the limit.
Ratings are bought in the Pilot Shop. Add-on ratings need the base rating first, and each rank unlocks its tier plus everything below it.

Nothing in real money. AeroWorld is a non-commercial hobby project - type ratings are paid for with the balance you earn by flying.
Which simulator do I need?
Anything smartCARS 3 supports - Microsoft Flight Simulator, X-Plane and Prepar3D.
Do I have to fly online?
No. Fly offline whenever you like, or join us on VATSIM and IVAO when you feel like it.
Can I stay in my current VA?
Yes. Flying for more than one virtual airline is completely fine with us.
How experienced do I need to be?
No minimum hours and no entry exam. If you can get an aircraft from A to B, you are in.
Which aircraft can I fly?
Any aircraft you hold a type rating for - from turboprops to long-haul widebodies. Ratings are bought in the Pilot Shop, see Type Ratings above.
